Irish Sun: LIVING IN LIMBO I’m moving my family into a caravan because our dream home is collapsing

Paddy Diver Defective Concrete Crisis
MICA march organiser Paddy Diver and his family are preparing to move into a caravan from where they will watch the home he built crumble to the ground.

It is just over a decade since they moved in to the house in idyllic Inishowen, Co Donegal on the day their youngest child Savannah was born.

At first Paddy, 43, did his best to ignore the cracks which began to show in the property.

Dismissing tales he heard of Mica destroying houses around the county, he thought: “No, it couldn’t be me. Not after all this work.”

But tears were to come for his family, while elsewhere marriages broke up and people took their own lives as the strain of fighting for their homes hit hard.

Paddy told The Irish Sun: “I’ll be in my caravan probably in another couple of months.
